Distance Learning Programme
For students to succeed in developing their full tennis potential and furthering their academic education it is essential that there is a balance between the student, teacher and parents.
The Langley Tennis Club Distance Learning Programme achieves this through a flexible programme that is tailored to meet the individual requirements of each student. The programme follows the national curriculum and QCA schemes of work, and for post 16 students AS and A2 courses. Paul McNally, Head of Distance Learning, manages the programme. He has 30 years of experience reaching the level of head teacher and has taught in England, Europe and the United States. Paul has a complete understanding of the balance of sport and education and encourages the pupils to be independent thinkers and learners.
Education is provided in our distance learning centre where teachers and supervisors work closely with students, setting tasks and overseeing their progress. We aim to deliver an exciting and relevant curriculum through:
• Excellent and enthusiastic teaching
• Innovation
• Encouraging reflection and thinking skills
• Providing opportunities to broaden creativity and self-worth
• Celebrating achievements
If you require further information please contact Tim Walter, club manager tim@langleytennis.com who will arrange an appointment with Paul, Head of Distance Learning.
